Zoom wigu studios soul mirror

Soul Mirror

The artist grew up with his father serving as a prominent church member in Taiwan. Although losing his faith during adulthood, the artist still aims to create conversation by using themes of creation, belief, and life. There are hidden objects and meanings with each mirror.
Soul is the last one-of-a-kind mirror of a set of three interactive mirrors: Body, Spirit, and Soul, each saved from a church in Kentucky. The viewer explores what "Don't let what you see limit you" means. Is it metaphorical as you look at your reflection? Is it literal because there is more to see behind the mirror? Or theological, saying the 10 commandments were limiting?

The Mirror is constructed of solid walnut with a salvaged stained glass mirror from a demolished church in Kentucky, it also features a motion light sensor.
